minus the annoying tourists who took forever to decide and order and were otherwise generally unappreciative, i had a great experience here at the sellwood location of staccato gelato.

rose petal, thai iced tea, honey lavender, and rhubarb were the amazing flavors i tried… and i was not unimpressed or underwhelmed by one of them. all were amazing, rich and flavorful. so much so that i had to share half of the tiny cup i got with my roommates. i couldn’t even pick a favorite among them, they were all that delicious.

but i brought a pint of chocolate orange home… and was disappointed. the flavors, which were so strong and so wonderful with all of the other gelato’s i had tried, were really muted with the chocolate orange. i don’t know if it was an ‘off’ batch or what, but i wasn’t impressed. it was pretty bland and a bit chalky tasting. very little orange taste to it.
