A few days ago I had my second breakfast/brunch at Genie’s. It’s too bad it took me so long to try it out despite having heard good things because i think it’s probably the breakfast spot within walking distance of where I live. I got the garden sausage scramble which was good but not nearly as good as the garden sausage eggs benedict which I would highly recommend. I also got some good tao of tea tea (though the name escapes me at the moment). The menu is vegan and vegetarian friendly, though a dining companion was not particularly pleased with her tofu scramble, they serve tea (tao of tea), coffee (stumptown), and libations. I think it’s also a good place to take out of town visitors.
