The Jade Lounge is a bar attached to Il Piatto and after my first visit I can't see myself deciding to return. I thought the service was good and I enjoyed the "Fire in the Hole" cocktail which was a spicy margarita or sorts. However the food was mediocre. While the salad rolls and yam fries were decent the entree I got was the pad thai with tofu and it was the worst pad thai I've had in Portland. One of my dining companions who had the same thing said that she had had worse but agreed that it wasn't very good. I think the place had a nice atmosphere and could make a fun place for drinks and appetizers for some, but in my opinion there are better places near enough that I would choose instead.
