Pirates Tavern (CLOSED)

We were trying to a take a friend from out of town to the Pirates Tavern so we piled a bunch of folks in a van and drove out there only to find it closed. It was quite disappointing. On the other hand it’s good to hear about what the owners have planned for the place. It sounds like they are doing well and turning the space into quite the destination. They will be reopening the September 19th which is in time for me to bring another out of town guest there. Hopefully I’ll get a group of people to join us. Ahoy, Matey! Pirates Tavern will be closed for remodeling until September 19th, 2007. We are adding four new pool tables, darts, video poker, a karaoke singing lounge, multiple HDTV flatscreen TV’s featuring various sports channels, pinball and video games, more outdoor dining and an outdoor stage. We are completely updating our menu and adding a full bar and adding more cooking capacity in our kitchen for quicker delivery. We will be extending our hours. Come join us for our Re-Grand-Opening on this September 19th, Talk Like A Pirate Day … Arrrgh!

I’ll have to share my actual dining experiences at some point but for now I just noticed that the Pirates Tavern which used to be dinner only (opening at 5pm) is now open for lunch (11:30am) which is great news to anyone that works in the area looking for a lunch spot.
